Steps To Replace Your Home’s Roof
Like any home remodeling project, replacing your home’s roof can be stressful! If you are not a roofing expert, you probably have a lot of questions about the re-roofing process. Here are the steps to replace your home’s roof to ease your stress.
Removal
Before we begin replacing your home’s roof, the materials to do so will be delivered to your house by our team. First, our team will start by removing your old roof, down to the plywood. In the case that your old plywood is rotten or damaged, our team will rip it out and replace it with new plywood.
Installation
Once all of the old shingles are ripped off, and the damaged plywood is replaced, the next step to replace your home’s roof is to lay down the new roofing paper. Our team will also install ice and water shields to protect your roof against harsh weather. Before laying down any of the shingles, we will dry the entire roof for extra prevention of rotting or leaks.
Roofing Shingles
Once all of the roofing paper and damaged plywood is properly replaced, and the roof is completely dry, we will begin the process of installing the shingles that you have chosen. After we have finished installing the asphalt shingles,, our team will go back and paint any pipes or vents to match the color of the new shingles for better curb appeal.
Cleanup
Once this process is completely finished and your new roof looks up to par, Smart Construction will go over the entire roof and surrounding property to check for any trash or nails by using a nail magnet that might damage tires.
Smart Construction will not stop working until you are completely satisfied with your brand new roof, and we will be there to guide you through the entire process of replacing your roof.
